Keyboarding (Micro Type Pro)

In this exercise students will apply the proper keyboarding technique to input data when using the computer keyboard. Continue with Keyboarding Skill Builder lessons S and T.

To build a major skill at a keyboard, you must achieve three levels of develoment. During the first of these, you must learn to operate the keyboard with good technique and speed. Developing technique with speed does not end as soon as you master the proper reach to each key, however. Also included is activity to build skill over many months.

In this exercise emphasis is placed on the Left Shift. Hold shift down, strike the shift key and release both quickly.

Type the first line at a confortable pace and this time strike enter. Type the next sentence as many times as you can (maximum of 6 times) you will be timed for 1 minute.

In paragraphs the TAB key will indent 5 spaces at the beginning of each paragraph. You will strike the TAB key with your little finger.

The handout "Thirty-three Ways too Succeed" on Interviews to be completed with numbering as well as "Twenty-nine Ways to Blow an Interview".   Use default margins and font.

Save as Interview1, Interview2.   Two Essays will be completed with graphics. "Super Market" and "My Computer" Save both as same name as title.

Always use only one word when saving a document.   It is easier, and can be found more quickly when lost, if found at all.
